Invitation au voyage, cultural program of the French-German channel ARTE, dedicates a long reportage to Sirmione and the Grottoes of Catullus

ARTE is one of the most prestigious European television channels, entirely dedicated to culture.
Invitation au voyage (invitation to travel), one of the channel’s flagship programmes, recently created an episode dedicated to the Italy of Luca Guadagnino and his film Call Me by Your Name, which won an Oscar in 2018.

A significant part of the film is set in Sirmione, inside the Grottoes of Catullus. The television program, hosted by Linda Lorin, dedicated a long part of the report to the archaeological site of Sirmione.

The entire episode of Invitation au voyage is available at this link. In the video below, a selection of the part of the video dedicated to Sirmione.

A special thanks to Chiara Bertoldi, tour guide from Brescia for accompanying the crew during filming.
